Hangover

Imaginative spin on the old story of a bachelor party gone wrong where none of the male participants can remember what happened the night before.

The film is very much on the side of these wayward males who still want the right to behave like high-school kids. This masculinist preoccupation sadly means that the very talented Heather GRAHAM is given short shrift here as she tries to bring more feminine warmth to the proceedings.

Although there is little insight or analysis of the Western cultural tradition of the stag party, this is surprising-incident packed and funny enough to pass the time more than agreeably without the usual grossness that so often mars US comedies.
