Not being much of an actor himself, he always surrounds himself with better performers; creating a true ensemble among his cast.
The life-affirming message of the movie makes a fascinating counterpoint to the usual tendencies of governments to be ‘chiefed by the double tongues’; emphasized by the moral integrity and sense of honor of individuals often defeated by the lack of these qualities in their nations as a whole.
